Furniture Today's Inaugural Best Places To Work Awards

Join us online Tuesday, December 14, 2021, as we celebrate the honorees of Furniture Today's inaugural Best Places To Work Awards. This is an employee engagement and store recognition program aimed at helping furniture retailers strengthen their ability to recruit, train and retain the best employees and to stand out as a best place to work in their communities. There is no fee to attend. All registrants will receive a link to watch the awards the week of the event.

To be eligible for consideration, companies must meet the following criteria:

• Must be a retail business selling to individual consumers (not wholesale) with a product assortment of which at least 15% must be furniture

• Must have at least 15 employees working in the U.S. or Canada*

• Must be in business a minimum of 1 year

• Stores must apply as a single location. Corporate entities may apply for group discounts but each store must supply individual information

*To ensure credibility, organizations having 15-24 employees must have an 80% or better response rate on the employee survey.

**Only full and part-time permanent employees are eligible. Temporary or seasonal employees, per diem, independent contractors (1099), interns or consultants are not counted as full or part-time permanent employees or included in the survey process.

***If any registration submitted contains more than one location/rooftop, that registration will be withdrawn from the program


Which employees to include

Include all current, full- and part-time United States or Canada employees in the survey process, from the CEO, partners, all the way to line-level employees, including remote employees. Remote employees are defined as employees that work from home or on the road who directly report to a supervisor in the United States or Canada. Employees physically located outside of the United States or Canada are not eligible.

Exclude all temporary, seasonal or per diem employees, PRN, 1099 employees/independent contractors, volunteers, interns, outside consultants or staffing employees placed by other organizations.
